What devices are supported?

ChatAI requires an iPhone running iOS 26 or later with local on-device intelligence enabled. This is available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series or later.

How do I enable on-device intelligence?

  • Open Settings on your iPhone
  • Go to Apple Intelligence & Siri
  • Toggle on-device intelligence on
  • Wait for the download to complete

Does ChatAI work offline?

Yes. Since everything runs on-device using local on-device intelligence, ChatAI works without an internet connection.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. All conversations are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is sent to any server. We do not collect, store, or share any of your information.

How do I delete my chat history?

You can delete individual chats by swiping left on them in the chat list, or delete all chats at once from Settings > Delete All Chats.

How do I rename a chat?

Swipe right on any chat in the list, or long-press and select Rename.

How much does ChatAI cost?

ChatAI is free. It uses local on-device intelligence which is built into your iPhone at no additional cost.

Troubleshooting

“On-Device Intelligence Unavailable”

  • This means on-device intelligence is either not supported on your device or not enabled.
  • Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and make sure it is turned on.
  • If the option is not available, your device may not support on-device intelligence.

ChatAI respects your privacy:

  • All conversations stay on your device — no servers, no cloud storage, no analytics
  • AI processing happens entirely on-device using local on-device intelligence
  • No personal data is collected or transmitted anywhere
  • No accounts or sign-ups required
